BudgetBuilder does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account system, no login, and no registration. You do not provide your name, email address, or any identifying information to use this tool.
The production parameters and crew roster you enter — format, shoot days, locations, crew roles, quantities, and rates — are sent to our API solely to perform the budget calculation. They are not logged, stored, or associated with any identifier. Once the calculation is returned to your browser, the parameters are discarded by our server.
The API uses a database of published rate schedules (e.g., IATSE, MPEG) to provide default rates where available. These are static reference data, not collected from users. Any rate overrides you enter are used for the calculation only and are not stored server-side.
BudgetBuilder does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any other mechanism to identify or track visitors. No third-party analytics service is loaded. The site uses Google Fonts for typography, which may involve a request to Google's servers, but no identifying data is sent as part of that request beyond what your browser includes automatically.
BudgetBuilder does not write any data to your browser's localStorage or IndexedDB. There is no saved history, no cached preferences, and no persistent state. Each budget calculation is a fresh, stateless request.
We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties. We have no data to share. No personal information is collected, so no data breach can expose information about you or your production.
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. No notification will be sent, because we have no way to contact users — we have no email addresses, no accounts, and no contact information.
